Adelaide Festival: Writers' Week

This year for the Adelaide Festival Writers’ Week I had the privilege of hosting three enriching conversations; Holly Ringland, Joshua Cohen and Sally Hepworth.

I couldn’t sum up my hour with Holly Ringland better than Adelaide Writers’ Week did when they came up with the title of the session - “Landscape of the Heart”. Holly spoke about writing inspired by learning the real stories of a place, the power of adornment, Faroe Islands magic and more. It was such a deep delight to hear her and be in conversation.

Joshua Cohen and I video chatted about his hilarious, complex, genre-bending (and Pulitzer Prize winning) novel The Netanyahus: An Account of a Minor and Ultimately Even Negligible Episode in the History of a Very Famous Family.

Finally, Sally Hepworth joined me in conversation to reflect on her career spanning eight novels, becoming a New York Times selling author and working with Amy Poehler in our session: ‘The Pleasures of a Page Turner'.
