Literary Lunch: Shankari Chandran's 'Safe Haven'

Safe Haven is the latest novel from Miles Franklin award-winning author, Shankari Chandran.

Set in Australia, Safe Haven explores themes of refuge, home, safety and love as our protagonist seeks asylum while also helping those at a remote detention centre.

I was honored to sit down with Chandran for the Dymocks Sydney Literary Lunch to discuss the book in depth, her life as a writer and her ten-year career as a social justice lawyer in London.
