Christine Courtenay on 'Bryce Courtenay: Storyteller'

In the final instalment of the 2022 Author Talk series for Waverly Library I interviewed Christine Courtenay and we discussed her new book - Bryce Courtenay: Storyteller.

Christine sat down in lockdown to write her own memoir but was drawn to the story of her husband, who has sold more than 20 million books but never wrote a biography.

The touching tale of her late husband takes the reader on a rags-to-riches journey from his beginnings in Africa to publishing his first novel in 1989 (The Power Of One) at the age of 56, having never lost sight of his dream to one day be a writer and ultimately becoming one of Australia’s most successful authors.
