Panel discussion on Addiction

As part of the Woollahra School of Philosophy discussion series I spoke with two leading thinkers in the field of Addiction. Judith Grisel is a behavioural neuroscientist and former addict who studies what makes some people into drug addicts. She’s a Professor at Bucknell University in America. Adam Alter’s academic research focuses on judgment and decision-making and social psychology, with a particular interest in the sometimes surprising effects of subtle cues in the environment on human cognition and behaviour. His latest book looks at why we’re so addicted to technology.
