Readers - Books and Conversation with Benjamin Stevenson

Benjamin Stevenson is an award winning mystery writer and stand up comedian and we were thrilled to host him at Petersham Bowling Club for our first Readers: Books and Conversations event of the year.

He spoke about how he crafts his clever and darkly hilarious novels, the rules of the golden age of detective fiction and how he loves to stretch them and reinvigorate them.

We talked about his latest work - Everyone This Christmas Has a Secret and the great tradition of crime novels set in the festive season. He even read the prologue from his forthcoming Ern Cunningham novel.
