In conversation with Michelle Lesh & Raimond Gaita

Mark Raphael Baker was an acclaimed writer, academic and thinker. He'd written two memoirs and began writing his third immediately after being told he had months to live. His widow, Michelle Lesh, and trusted friend Raimon Gaita, promised Mark they'd bring the book to publication.

I was fortunate to meet Mark Raphael Baker many years ago so it was very special to sit with his widow Michelle and with brilliant author, philosopher, friend of Mark's Rai and speak with them about A Season of Death for the Sydney launch of the book at Gleebooks.

We spoke about how Mark felt while he was writing it, knowing he was leaving behind his grown up children and his new infant daughter with Michelle. How they worked to finalise the book that Mark had imagined and planned and also how this memoir illuminates Mark's gifts as a deep thinker, and powerful writer.
